Congratulations, Clara! A honeymoon at the Happiest Place on Earth sounds like the perfect way to kick off a magical forever together! October is a beautiful month in Southern California, and you'll even get to enjoy some of the very special once-a-year
Halloween Time festivities during your visit!
I completely understand not wanting to miss out on making those reservations, especially with such an occasion to celebrate and after traveling from a land far, far away! There are a couple of things we can look at to try to troubleshoot this for you!
1) The
reservation calendar opens up 120 days in advance of the day, and I'm thinking that you were maybe looking a bit too early for those dates to be available. As of today, I can see that you can now make reservations through October 23rd. When you submitted your question, I believe those dates just had not opened up yet. Try the calendar again and, hopefully, you should be all set! One other reassuring note is that
Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests have their own pool of theme park reservations, separate from day Guests. While not guaranteed, these do generally have a bit more availability.
2) If you are still having issues, let's check that you have linked your vacation package correctly to your account. With a
Disneyland Resort Vacation Package, your actual theme park tickets will drop into your Disneyland Mobile App four days prior to arrival. Not to worry though, you will be able to make theme park reservations using the vacation package confirmation number. Log into your Disneyland account, navigate to "My Disneyland", and select "
My Hotel Reservations". Here you will see the option to input your confirmation number, last name, and arrival date. Once complete, the theme park reservation calendar should open up to you!
Have you heard about the just released "
Capture Your Moment" offering at Disneyland Park? It might be just the thing to make those memories last a lifetime! Imagine a private 20-minute photography session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer ... IN FRONT of Sleeping Beauty Castle! I know, I can hardly believe it myself it's just so magical. Bookings for these sessions open up 60 days prior, and I'm sure they will go quickly. I like to set a reminder on my phone at the 60-day mark, as this is also when
dining reservations will open up to you! I think my best piece of advice when planning a vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth is to book early and decide later. Be mindful of any cancellation policies, but it's easier to get reservations 60 days out than to have to scramble to find a cancellation later down the line!
Clara, I truly cannot wait for you to experience all that the Disneyland Resort has to offer. You and your fiancé will have moments filled with magic that will last forever! Don't forget to grab an "I'm Celebrating" complementary pin at most retail locations or City Hall at the top of Main Street, U.S.A. as you'll be showered in good wishes and maybe even some pixie dust will follow. Come back to see us here at
planDisney if you have any more questions!
Keep wishing on those stars!
