Hi, we have 2 2-day park hoppers that we will be unable to use even with the extension dates as we live in Australia. Is there a way to get a refund? We are also hoping to visit in 2023 but will need 4 tickets and 3 days

Hello, Tegan! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it to the Disneyland Resort as soon as you'd hoped. Although theme park tickets are nonrefundable, you are able to apply the amount you paid for wholly unused, expired tickets toward the cost of a new ticket at an equal or greater value. This transaction usually has to be done at a ticket booth, though, which makes trying to plan an international vacation tricky when you can't make theme park reservations in advance with expired tickets. I would definitely try calling the Tickets line at (714) 781-4636 to see what they suggest.

Since you aren't planning on visiting until 2023, you might just want to hold onto your tickets and see what the options are at that time. A lot can change between now and then, including how the theme park reservation system will work or whether they create an online solution for applying expired tickets to new tickets.

Something I would consider doing is purchasing new tickets for your 2023 vacation (when they become available). Then when you visit the parks during that trip, stop by a ticket booth to see if you can apply your old, expired tickets to new tickets to be used in the future. Typically, tickets have a pretty long expiration date from the time of purchase so you may be able to use them for a trip in 2024. For instance, tickets purchased today are good until December 2022.

I hope you get to experience all the fun of the Happiest Place on Earth soon!
