Hello Amy,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Believe it or not, summer is right around the corner and so is your visit to
The World's Most Magical Celebration!
With
2 day Park Hopper Tickets, it sounds like you are trying to get to see as much of all four parks as possible. I have been in your exact situation, more than once. It can be a whirlwind of a visit, but it's so much fun! I am glad to hear that you'll be taking advantage of
Individual Lightning Lane selections during your stay. That will certainly help you to see a few of the most popular attractions without having to wait in the standby line.
As long as you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you will be able to make both Individual Lightning Lane purchases for the day right at 7:00 AM. As long as you have added the Park Hopper Option and you've made a reservation to the first park you plan to visit for the day, you will only see available times after 2:00 PM for an attraction in a park where you don't have a reservation.
For example, let's say you have a park reservation for
Disney's Hollywood Studios. At 7:00 AM you can purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and hopefully be able to select a morning return time. Although these go quickly, so you'll just want to take whatever time you get. As soon as you've purchased that Lightning Lane you can purchase your second, possibly to
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in
EPCOT. Because you haven't made a reservation for that park, you'll only be given return time options that are after 2:00 PM.
If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you should know that you can't purchase an Individual Lightning Lane until the park officially opens for the day. This isn't usually an issue with
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom, and you'll usually even be able to get
Avatar Flight of Passage for a late return time. However, Rise of the Resistance will almost always sell out before Disney's Hollywood Studios opens for the day, and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure often sells out quickly as well. So if you aren't staying at a Walt Disney World Resort I might recommend purchasing Genie+ for your Hollywood Studios day, hopping in the standby line for Rise of the Resistance first thing in the morning, and using your Genie+ Lightning Lane selections to save time at other attractions.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
