Hey there, Cathrine! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Park hopping is my favorite way to enjoy a day at Walt Disney World and I'm really excited to know that you've opted to enjoy that option as well, Cathrine. At this time, you do not need to make additional
park pass reservations, after your initial one each day, to park hop. Since park hopping just returned to us at the start of this year, it does look a little bit different than it did before. Here's how it is currently working:
- To park hop, Guests must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must make park pass reservations for an initial theme park each day
- Guests must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before continuing on to other Walt Disney World theme parks each day
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evenings
- Guests do not need to make additional park pass reservations to be able to hop throughout the day, just the initial one
What I really enjoy doing is arriving at the theme park with the park pass reservation early in the morning each day. I like to get there about an hour prior to opening. This gives me plenty of time to park, go through security and the temperature screening checks before heading off to the first attraction of the day. I'm always amazed at how much I can cross off of my must-do list before lunchtime simply by arriving early. Then, around lunchtime, when I feel like the parks tend to be the busiest, I like to take a break. Usually, I head back to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I happen to be staying at for an afternoon swim. Then, when I've had my fill of the Florida sun I like to clean up and head to Epcot for snacks and drinks around The World Showcase. It's a perfect way to enjoy a day at Walt Disney World.
I hope that you enjoy park hopping during your Walt Disney World vacation as much as I do, Cathrine. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help. Enjoy!
