Hi there, Sonya! Thanks for stopping by planDisney and asking your question!
I'm glad you held onto your ticket because many tickets that were issued before the pandemic began have had their expiration dates automatically extended. For instance, unused single-day tickets that originally expired on December 30, 2020 or March 31, 2021 will now expire on December 16, 2021. You can see a list of ticket types that have had the expiration dates extended on the
"Theme Park Tickets and Reservations" page (scroll down to the "Modifications and Cancellations" section). If your ticket has a different expiration date than those listed on that page, give the Tickets line a call at (714) 781-4636 to see if your particular ticket is still valid. If it has expired, you can always apply the amount you paid for a wholly unused, expired ticket toward a new ticket at an equal or greater value.
If your ticket is good to go, you will need to make a
theme park reservation for the day you want to visit. You'll first need to link your ticket to your Disneyland account via the Disneyland app or on the Disneyland Resort website. Since you purchased your one-day ticket before the pandemic, it's likely that you purchased a ticket for a specific tier which means there are certain days that you can use that ticket.
This FAQ page details which tickets can be used on which dates. Once you know which dates you can visit, the next step is seeing if there is reservation availability on the
theme park reservation availability calendar. If there is availability for the date you want to visit, go ahead and make your theme park reservation! You will make a reservation for the park you want to start at and then at 1:00 p.m., you can hop to the other park.
I hope this information was helpful. Enjoy your day at the Happiest Place on Earth!
