I have a 5-day park hopper+ ticket and plan on visiting my first theme park on October 23rd, but I'm staying at Port Orleans Riverside starting the 22nd. Can I visit Typhoon Lagoon on the 22nd even though I didn't go to a theme park that day?

    Hiya Alejandro!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! I am so excited that you decided to add the Park Hopper Plus option to your theme park tickets, as I think park hopping is essential! The weather in Florida is often unpredictable, so being able to make quick adjustments to your plans is crucial.

When visiting the water parks, you will still be using a day from your theme park tickets even though the water parks do not require a theme park reservation. Indeed, the four theme parks require both a valid theme park ticket and a reservation to access the parks. While the water parks do not require a reservation, they still require a valid theme park ticket. Therefore, if you decide to use your ticket on the 22nd, you will have four days left on your Park Hopper Plus ticket and eight days to use it after the start date.

Now, if you do want to visit the Water Parks on the first day of your vacation, you may need to change the date of your theme park ticket. This can be done with a Cast Member either online or in person, as theme park ticket prices vary per day, and you may need to pay for the price difference. Personally, I always love to start with an activity that does not require me to use my theme park ticket. For example, I love spending an evening at Disney Springs as you can not only catch up on shopping but also eat at one of its many incredible restaurants and enjoy plenty of live entertainment. Similarly, the Disney Resort hotels also have some of the best restaurants on property on top of other magical activities that don't require a ticket. For example, the Grand Floridian Cafe is one of my favourite restaurants on the Walt Disney World property, and you get to see the fireworks from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa's marina and beach at night!

I hope this was helpful, Alejandro, and that you will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach back out! It is always an honour to help you create magical memories.

    Have a magical day,
