Hi Tricia and welcome to planDisney!
How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up in just a few days! I'm sure you're in your final planning stages for your magical day. You have come to the right place with your transportation question!
It sounds like you have a fun day planned with starting at
Magic Kingdom Park and ending at
Disney's Hollywood Studios! We are local to Walt Disney World, so we always have our own car when we visit. I would suggest driving yourselves from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Hollywood Studios since you will be heading home after your park visit. That way, you can just hop in the car and go instead of having to rely on
Disney transportation to get you back to Magic Kingdom Park at the end of a very busy day. Plus, parking for Magic Kingdom Park is at the Transportation and Ticket Center, which requires you to take a ferry boat or the monorail over to the park entrance, which is where the Disney buses are, so you would be in for an extra long evening if you had to head back there to get your car.
Since you'll be starting your day at Magic Kingdom Park, I highly suggest you try and enter the
virtual queue for the newest attraction,
TRON Lightcycle / Run, since there is no traditional standby line. If you're a thrill seeker, this attraction is for you! The virtual queue opens at 7:00 AM and if successful, will give you a boarding group number to head to the attraction to ride later in the day. There is another opportunity to join the virtual queue at 1:00 PM as well if you don't make it during the 7:00 AM drop.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
