Greetings, Victoria, and welcome to planDisney! The
3-Day Park Hopper Ticket for California residents is a great deal. I'm glad it's on your radar.
Victoria, a ticket is officially assigned to a Guest once it's used to enter a theme park. At that point, a Cast Member will take the Guest's photo, and from then on, that photo is used for verification when entering the park. For multi-day tickets, including the 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket, the Guest who uses the ticket on the first day must be the same Guest who uses it on the remaining days.
That means you can either have the ticket originally meant for your husband used entirely by another person, or plan for your husband to still use it on the days he’s available.
Victoria, there is some flexibility built into your tickets. The dates you reserved when you purchased the ticket can be modified on the
Disneyland website or
mobile app if needed. You can try changing one of your reservations to a different date so your husband can join for all three days. Or, you can cancel only his reservation for the date he can't go and rebook him for a different day. I'm all for more fun at the Disneyland Resort, so here's an idea: consider getting a
single-day ticket to join him on the remaining day of his ticket. That way, you would go for a total of four days!
Of course, if it's easier, you can also have someone else use his ticket instead – they must have a government-issued photo ID that shows an eligible California address. They'd use all three days of the ticket. In that case, you could potentially purchase standard tickets for your husband to use on the other dates you go, assuming that reservations are available.
There is so much to look forward to at the Disneyland Resort this year that I honestly can't decide what I'm most excited about. The 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket for California residents is valid through May 21, 2026, so you could potentially experience Lunar New Year festivities, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, and the start of
“Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” at Disneyland. Take a look at the calendar of events on the
Disney Parks Blog and get ready for your upcoming visits!
Victoria, if you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you magic,
