With a 3 day park hopper plus ticket can I do 3 days of theme parks and then an additional 2 days of water parks? So 5 days total or do the water parks count towards the 3 days?

    Hi Krysten! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is fast approaching! One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World is the variety of options it offers to all types of Guests. Some Guests prefer to visit one park per day and maximize their time there. Others like to visit a park in the morning, followed by an afternoon dip in the resort pool, and then on to a different park for their evening festivities. My family on a few occasions has decided to do a resort-only stay. We reserved a room at Disney's Beach Club Resort and enjoyed the pool, restaurants, and neighboring resorts. There are more ways than one to vacation at Walt Disney World.

Disney's ticket packages also offer flexible options for your stay. To answer your question, a 3-day ticket with the Park Hopper Plus Option consists of three days to visit any of the four theme parks and another three days to visit a water park. You will have a six-day window to use all of this within. On your theme parks days, you will be required to make a park reservation for the first park you plan to visit that day. After 2 PM, you are free to venture to any of the other three parks.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open and recently underwent a lengthy refurbishment. I always have a blast when my daughters and I get a chance to visit this park. They end up spending a ton of time in Ketchakiddee Creek, the kid's splash play area. Currently, this is the only option for your water park days as Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is now under its own refurbishment. There is no timetable yet for it to re-open. With your ticket package, instead of using one of the days for the water park, you can visit one of the two miniature golf courses to play a round. If your family has any interest in this option, it could provide a nice change of pace to your stay.

Krysten, as a former New Yorker, I understand that the winters can be long and sometimes drift into the Spring. An April visit to the Walt Disney World Resort sounds like exactly what you can use!

    See ya real soon!
