Hey, Jane and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. After a long winter in the frozen tundras of Minnesota, you are due for some fun, sun, and Disney nostalgia. Your trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth" next week will be fantastic. Be sure to visit
Mickey Mouse at his house in Mickey's Toontown. His house is adorable with lots of memorabilia and yes, you can even see where Pluto sleeps.
"Park Hopping" is where you can visit more than one theme park per day with your ticket. At Disneyland Resort a
Park Hopper Ticket allows you to visit both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park on the same day. We tend to park hop because there is so much to do in both areas including
fireworks,
water shows,
parades, and the best attractions the world has ever known.
To get the most out of our park hopping experience, we utilize
Disney MaxPass. With Disney MaxPass and a Park Hopper Ticket, we have a way of reserving
Disney FASTPASS selections in both parks saving us tons of time in lines. We
use the Disneyland mobile app to purchase Disney MaxPass (you can also
purchase it with your tickets before you arrive) once we enter either theme park. Best of all, DisneyMax Pass comes with unlimited, sharable, and downloadable
Disney PhotoPass photos. Now everyone in our party can be in the pictures that are taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers in the theme parks,
Character Dining experiences, and on select attractions.
Disney Dad Tip: Be sure to see
Mickey's Mix Magic which is a cornucopia of lights, sounds, and emotion. The show is projected onto the buildings Main Street, U.S.A., the water screens on Rivers of America, and the façade of
“it’s a small world" so you can see if almost everywhere. My favorite part is half way through the show when Mickey gets a "frightful" serenade as the song Grim Grinning Ghosts eerily plays.
Jane, I hope you "hop" from park to park while making many Magical Memories.
