1 day park hopper or MVMCP? 7 & 4 year old boys who enjoy theme parks- but go every year. MVMCP would be something new & holiday fun, but concerned with not entering park til later that boys will get tired early and we'd also miss Osbourne lights.

Hello, Melanie! That is a really tough question. If it were me, I would choose Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. While the official start time of the specially ticketed events is 7 p.m., you can actually enter the park as early as 4 p.m. This could be beneficial to you in that the boys can be well rested and ready to enjoy the party. Also, the wait times for attractions are reduced drastically. Last year when I went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a lot of the attractions were walk on, and many of the others had less than a 20 minute wait. You could potentially do twice the attractions at this event with the low wait times. I also love the party because there's nothing better than a complimentary cup of hot cocoa and cookies while watching it snow on Main Street U.S.A. I live in Indiana, so I see a lot of snow, but at least this snow doesn't come with the frigid winter temperatures!

Yes, you will miss the Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights presented by Siemans at Disney's Hollywood Studios if you do not opt for the 1-Day Park Hopper ticket, but I think the boys would really enjoy Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade. You can also meet Santa and Mrs. Clause during the party along with many other favorite characters.

Only you know what would best suit your interests, but I highly recommend attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It is one of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World. I hope this helps inform your decision, and I hope you enjoy your holiday vacation. Have a magical day!
