Lisa from TX Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I have a 3 day park hopper w lighting lane multi pass. The late afternoon we arrive is the only night the fireworks/fantasmic is showing. Would that count as one full day leaving only two days left? I’ve seen conflicting answers. Thank you.

    Hi there, Lisa!

Welcome back to planDisney! We love helping fellow Guests plan their visits to the Happiest Place on Earth, and it's so great to see Guests return for more tips and tricks. With just five days until your visit, you must be getting so excited!

I bet you are eager to get your plans in place so you can just relax and daydream about strolling down Main Street. You will love having a 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket. This is the perfect length of time to experience Disneyland, in my book. Disneyland and California Adventure are so close to each other that it's easy to skip from one to the other (even multiple times a day!), and with three days, you will explore every pixie-dusted corner of each. When it comes to ticket usage, as soon as you scan into the parks, it does count as one full day on your ticket. This is the case whether you scan in at rope drop in the morning, midday, or an hour before closing. I'm sure this is not the answer you were hoping for, but I do hope it's helpful as you plan out your upcoming visit!

While you are in planning mode, I always recommend taking a look at the Park Hours and Events Schedule for your dates. I just took a peek myself and noticed a few things to put on your radar. The first is that Disneyland Park is hosting Sweethearts' Nite, which is a special-ticked event, on February 9th and 11th. This means that the park will close to regular Guests at 8:00 PM. Since you have Park Hopper tickets, you will be able to jump to California Adventure where you can enjoy an extra hour or two before park closing. When it comes to ensuring your evenings end with a nighttime spectacular, Disneyland Park offers Mickey's Mix Magic with Projections each night of your visit, including the nights when the park closes early. Currently, the show only includes fireworks on Fridays and Saturdays. It is a very high-energy show, and I have enjoyed both versions! Over at California Adventure, World of Color - ONE is scheduled to perform each night of your stay as well and is a must-do, in my opinion! All performances are subject to change pending weather or other unforeseen issues, but I'll wish upon a star those don't arise during your time in the parks.

While you are at California Adventure, be sure to take some time to enjoy the Lunar New Year Celebration. In honor of the Year of the Snake, you'll get to sip and snack your way through Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cuisine, enjoy lively performances, and meet some of your favorite characters. This is one of the only times of the year when you can meet Meilin and Ming Lee from Turning Red!

Lisa, I know this was a lot of information, but I hope it's helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, feel free to visit us again here at planDisney.

    Wishing you a magical visit!
    Tara
