Greetings, Edward, and welcome to planDisney! Both the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World are filled with their own unique magic, each offering memorable experiences for Guests of all ages. And it's great that you already have tickets for the Happiest Place on Earth!
Unfortunately, Disneyland Resort tickets cannot be used at Walt Disney World Resort, and vice versa. The two destinations are separate entities and have their own ticketing systems.
However, a layer of flexibility is built into your tickets, Edward, especially if you won't be visiting for a while. Per the
Disneyland website, the amount paid for a wholly unused, expired theme park ticket (excluding special event tickets) may be applied towards the purchase of a new Disneyland Resort theme park ticket of greater or equal value, subject to certain restrictions. So hold onto your tickets for the next time you visit Southern California. If they expire before them, call the
Tickets phone line to get new tickets sorted out.
But Edward, it's possible that you'll want to visit sooner rather than later, since this is a big year for the Disneyland Resort! The
70th Anniversary Celebration kicks off May 16, 2025. There will be special entertainment, colorful decorations, new food and drinks, collectible merchandise, and more. This includes the much-anticipated return of the
Paint the Night parade and an
all-new World of Color experience. It will be wondrous! And of course, Halloween Time and the Holidays are fantastic times to visit as well, with themed snacks, decorations, and entertainment of their own. The
Disney Parks Blog is a great place to get inspiration for your trip.
Edward, I'll wish on a star that you'll have a chance to visit the Happiest Place on Earth sooner than later. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We at planDisney are always happy to help!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
