If I have a 3 day (one park per day) ticket and I’m on my last day at the park (Disneyland Park) can I upgrade/change it that morning to a hopper ticket? Thank you!

Well, hello there, Stacey! Welcome to planDisney!

I’m so glad you stopped by with your question! It sounds like you’re planning to make the most of your magical three-day adventure at the Disneyland Resort, and I’m happy to help you “hop” through your options.

Yes—it is possible to upgrade your ticket to add the Park Hopper option! There’s an important note to keep in mind, though: when you upgrade, the change applies to your entire multi-day ticket, not just a single day. That means if you wait until your third day to upgrade, you’ll still pay the same price as if you had added Park Hopper on your very first day.

Because of that, most Guests find it more practically magical to upgrade early—that way, you can enjoy both parks throughout your entire visit! If you only decide to hop on your last day, you could buy a separate 1-Day Park Hopper ticket, but upgrading your existing ticket will be more cost-efficient and unlock all the flexibility and fun that Park Hopper offers. Imagine starting your morning with a nice breakfast at Carnation Café on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland Park, and then ending your evening strolling through the neon glow of Pixar Pier over at Disney California Adventure Park—the best of both worlds!

Stacey, if you do decide to upgrade your ticket with the Park Hopper option, you can do so in a few easy ways. The easiest way to do this is by visiting the ticket modifications page on the Disneyland website, where you should see the option to upgrade online. Or, you can stop by any ticket booth near the Main Entrance Esplanade at the Disneyland Resort. You can also call the tickets line to speak with a friendly Cast Member who will be happy to assist over the phone.

Once your Park Hopper ticket is set, I recommend checking the Disneyland mobile app for wait times and entertainment schedules throughout the day. It’s a great way to plan your park hops strategically—maybe catching Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in the morning, then dashing over to Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! in the afternoon for a little intergalactic fun!

Stacey, I hope your visit is filled with laughter, adventure, and plenty of magical moments on both sides of the Esplanade. Here’s to endless park-hopping thrills, Mickey-shaped snacks, and fireworks that light up your heart as much as the night sky!

    See ya real soon!
