7 day MYW. Arrive Sat @ 10am, depart Sat 5:30pm. Plan is to ck in, go to DTD, explore, go back to rm once avail, have dinner @ WL & play @ pool. Then spend next 7 days @ parks including AM until 1ish of depart day-MK. Good idea or swap arr/dep days? Th

    Hi there Shannan!

More important than your arrival and departure days, I would suggest instead that you look at the specifics of your park touring itinerary. Are you planning to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and be up bright and early each morning and/ or stay out late into the evening? If so, you just might want to plan for Downtown Disney and pool time more in the middle of the week to provide for some downtime between the theme parks.

Also, some parks are busier on different days of the week because more people arrive and depart on a weekend. Check out the unofficial resource www.touringplans.com for recommendations on which parks to visit on certain days and for crowd level calendars.

Lastly, don't forget that the magic sometimes happens in the small moments between the attraction experiences so, be sure to slow down and take it all in.

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your trip! May your Disney vacation be practically perfect in every way!
