Hi there. Our 60 day mark is here in three days and I’ve got my priorities written down (we’re staying on site), but I don’t know how to book. Where can I quickly learn the step by step of how to do this? Thank you.

    Hey There, Susan!

Welcome back to planDisney!  There's nothing better than enjoying a great meal when you're on vacation, which is why I get so excited when my advance dining window opens.  Not only that, but now that you're ready to make dining reservations, it means your Disney vacation is finally getting close.  Believe me, these last 60 days are going to fly by and you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort before you know it!

With so many choices, the advance dining reservation process can be a little overwhelming, so I'm glad to hear you've already made a list of your must-get reservations.  I do the same thing when I'm planning a visit because I think it makes things a lot less stressful once that magical window officially opens.  Since you've already done the hard part by narrowing down your picks, let's walk through the steps of actually making those reservations, so you're ready to go:

    1. Sign into the Walt Disney World Resort website using your Disney Account credentials.
    2. Hover over the "Things to Do" tab and select "Make Reservations".
    3. Next, you can either choose to input your date, time, and party size to search for all the available reservations at a certain time OR you can select a specific restaurant by typing the name in the "Search within Dining" box. If you choose to search by a specific restaurant, you can click on "Check Availability" on the restaurant page and input your search details from there.
    4. Once you've found an available reservation, click on the time and fill in the details of your dining party on the next page and click "Next".
    5. Select a payment method to secure your reservation and click "Next".
    6. On the next page, be sure to review the details of your reservation, add any dietary requests, and agree to the Guest policies before clicking "Reserve" to finalize your reservation.

And that's it!  Now you'll be ready to return to the "Make Reservations" page and continue booking another advance dining reservation. If you'd like, you can even practice the steps above before it's officially time to make your reservations.  Simply pick an available date on the calendar and select an available reservation –– you'll be able to walk through the entire process, right up until it's time to hit "Reserve".

I also want to share a few tips with you to help your reservation booking run as smoothly as possible.  First, I suggest adding your credit card information to your My Disney Experience Profile ahead of time, so you won't have to waste precious time adding your card information while you're trying to make reservations.  I also recommend only adding the primary Guest to your reservation during booking.  While you'll need to make the reservation for your full party, you can go back and add specific names at a later time –– finding reservations at hard-to-get spots can be pretty competitive and this help can help you move on and make your next reservation a little faster.

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question, Susan. No matter where you book your dining reservations, I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit is filled with delicious dishes from start to finish!

    Amy
