Hi Matthew! My very warmest welcome to planDisney. As a fellow Disney adventurer from the UK, I've been lucky enough to use the Magic Ticket!
It sounds like you have already linked your ticket in your
My Disney Experience and downloaded it to your mobile wallet. Excellent stuff! On your first day, you can head straight to the entrance gates of your first Park, let's say EPCOT, without needing to visit any other locations. Simply scan your ticket at the gate and then scan your finger.
After the initial finger scan, the ticket is linked to that specific person. My top tip is to have everyone in your party use the same finger each time; from experience, it's easy to forget which finger was used on future days. We typically use the right thumb, but whatever works for you. Rest assured, the entrance is filled with welcoming Cast Members ready to help if you encounter any snags entering the parks.
One of the bonuses of Magic Tickets is
Memory Maker. This links all your Disney PhotoPass pictures and other digital content to your Disney account - meaning all the pics including the iconic Disney backdrops, ride photos, and videos are yours to treasure forever! But what I love the most about the 14-day Magic Ticket is that it gives you the gift of Disney time! Sometimes there's a temptation to rush around and try to complete everything, but with this ticket, there's no need to hurry. You can relax and soak up those little bits of impromptu Disney magic, knowing you have plenty of time to explore, taste, and discover everything the parks have to offer.
Have the best time, Matthew! Remember, we're always here at
planDisney to help with any further Walt Disney World questions.
