The day we will be at Magic Kingdom the park will be closing at 12. Is that for every guest or do you have to be staying at one of the Disney resorts/ purchase the extra hours pass?

Hello, Kelcie, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I'm pleased to let you know that general Park Hours are available for all Guests at Walt Disney World Resort! If the Park Hours calendar indicates "Early Morning Magic," that time is reserved for Guests who've purchased a Special Event ticket. "Extra Magic Hours" are reserved for official Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests. From April 14-27, 2019 (when most schools are out for Spring Break), the Park Hours calendar currently has Magic Kingdom Park open until midnight each night for all Guests. While hours are always subject to change, Magic Kingdom Park has typically been open a little later than usual during my Walt Disney World Resort Spring Break vacations. (On Wednesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 24, its Extra Magic Hours currently extend until 2 a.m.!)

One suggestion: arrive early and try to take advantage of some of the typically lower wait times first thing in the morning and save your FastPass+ reservations for an hour or two after Park opening. Remember: after you've redeemed your first three FastPasses, you can book more (depending on availability) one at a time! We also like to head to our hotel for a nap during the hottest part of the day and return to the Parks after dinner and stay until closing. Magic Kingdom Park is such a delight, and we love its late-night hours!

Enjoy your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Kelcie. Let us know how else we can help maximize your time.

I look forward to helping you discover the magic, too!  Learn More About Amy
