Hiya Roxanne!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with this
Disneyland Resort planning question!
Oh boy! You're in for four days of fun at The Happiest Place on Earth! I'm a Military wife myself, so I know all about these tickets. I sadly don't have the proper magic mirror to see inside your
My Disneyland Account, Roxanne, but if the tickets you have are the special "
4-Day Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket" listed
hEAR, and sometimes referred to as the 'Disney Military Salute Ticket' then yes, your friend or her Military sponsor must be with you on day one to validate your tickets by presenting her Military Spouse ID as well as entering the theme parks with her own Military Promotional Theme Park Admission Ticket with your group. The good news is that she doesn't have to stay with your party; the validation takes place at the time of the first entry to the first theme park of your visit, so theoretically she could enter the parks with your group and then go. However, that would count as a day's visit on her ticket or
Magic Key, so this might only work if she was dropping you and your crew off at the parks with plans to return later that same day. (Bonus Tip:
Disneyland Resort Theme Park Parking is valid all day!)
Pro Tip: Double check the type of ticket you have. Base/Post ticket offices do carry standard
Theme Park Admission Tickets that are slightly discounted for military members. (By slightly, think 5-15% off the price of a regular
theme park ticket price listed online vs. almost half off of the Military Salute ticket.) If this is the type of ticket she purchased then she is NOT required to be with you at all as these tickets do not need to be validated. I've purchased these tickets and given them to my dear friends and fellow panelists
Kristin C. and
Veronica O. before with zero issues.
You're going to have a fa-boo-lous time at Disneyland Resort, Roxanne, as the dates of your visit just happen to be at the start of the
Halloween season! You can catch characters in their costumes, spooky decorations, frightfully fun attraction overlays and so much more. Be sure to keep up with the
Disney Parks Blog as they should soon post a guide of the festive eats and treats around the resort.
