Hi Maria! Welcome to planDisney! You’ve sent a really great question. I’m happy to help!
For purposes of this answer, I’ll use “Disney Parks” to reference the four theme parks – Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. I’ll use “resorts” to reference the hotels located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
Guests with
Disney Dining reservations for any restaurant located inside any of the Disney Parks must have valid theme park admission to enter the theme park for their dining reservation. Entering the park for a dining reservation will use one of your theme park admissions. However, because you have a
Park Hopper ticket, there will be a difference. Follow along below for a further explanation.
Let’s say you have two dining reservations scheduled during one of your vacation days. Your first dining reservation is for breakfast at The Crystal Palace (located inside Magic Kingdom Park). You will need to use a park admission to enter Magic Kingdom Park to attend your breakfast reservation. That will be your “admission” for that day. If your next reservation, on the same day, is for dinner at Yak and Yeti Restaurant (located inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park) you won’t have to use another park admission because you are using your Park Hopper ticket privileges for that day to access the second park of the day.
I hope that makes sense, Maria. If not, feel free to write back and I’ll try to clarify!
If you have a dining reservation at one of the resort hotels located at the Walt Disney World Resort, you can dine at the resort hotels without any admission being used.
Dreams do come true!
