I have a 4 day hopper that i need to use. My daughter would need tickets. What is the best way to plan a vacation with me only needing 1 ticket and her needing 5 days worth.

Hiya Brittany - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with a question for our team of panelists. We're here to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

I'm so excited to hEAR that you're planning a trip for the holiday season next year! December is one of my favorite months to visit - great weather, plus all the amazing holiday decor, food, and more! You're going to have a great time.

The answer for your daughter is quite simple! You would likely want to purchase a 5-Day Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option. If you upgrade to the Park Hopper Plus Option, she would also have access to up to five visits to a Water Park or other recreational offering, like Miniature Golf! If those activities could fill up one of your days, you might even consider dropping down to a 4-Day Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option, and simply explore those other experiences on one of the days to complete a 5-Day vacation.

When it comes to older and unused tickets, things can get somewhat tricky. If your 4-Day Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper is newer, visible in your My Disney Experience Account, and not expired, you may be able to modify it yourself to match the new ticket you purchase for your daughter. You can look into that by opening the My Disney Experience Mobile App, tapping the menu icon (≡) and then selecting Tickets and Passes. Most of the time, that isn't going to work, and you'll likely want to contact a Cast Member by phone at 407-934-7639 for assistance.

They will be able to help you modify your existing ticket to meet your new needs, or more likely, if it is unused (e.g., is not 4 remaining days from a 6-Day ticket), they will help you obtain credit that you can then use to purchase the new ticket you need. It may turn out that your existing ticket is still valid and you'd just need to purchase a 1-Day Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option, or the best choice might be to get an entirely new ticket. The Cast Member can help you understand the best option for your specific existing ticket.

I hope this information is helpful - please let me know if I can help answer any additional questions. Have a magical day!
