Hey, Kristin!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love this question and I wrestle with the same dilemma every year when determining how many days I will spend at Walt Disney World Resort. The straight cost of the annual pass versus theme park tickets is not the only factor in making this decision.
The Walt Disney World Passholder Program offers so many benefits such as discounts on hotel rooms, merchandise, restaurants and free theme park parking. I know we have saved hundreds of dollars in dining and souvenirs expenses with our annual passes.
Here is the straight breakdown for child/adult with 10-day and 3-day theme park tickets with the Park Hopper Option. 13 days of tickets will cost $814.00/$776.00 (child/adult)+tax. You could add 13 days if
splashtastic fun with a Water Parks Fun & More option for $66.00+tax for both child and adult. Total cost not including tax is $880.00/$842.00. Add in parking at $20.00/day and the grand total for one child and one adult is $1982.00+tax.
Annual passes for Guests 3+ years old is $829.00+tax for the Disney Platinum Plus Pass. Parking, the ability to download all your Disney PhotoPass photos at no additional charge, admission to two Disney water parks and all the fantastic discounts are included. Grand total for two is $1,658.00+tax. To me, there is no question the Disney Platinum Plus Pass is the way to go.
These are current prices and may change at any time.
Disney Dad Tip: You will need to upgrade your tickets to Annual Passes at
Guest Relations. Also, always carry your Passholder card with you. You will need it and a valid ID to receive discounts.
Kristin, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
