I have a 7-day DVC vacation planned, but want to add additional days to the vacation. It is not at our home resort, so I know that I need to wait until the 7-month mark to begin planning. However, how do I go about adding extra days to the 7-days?

    Hiya, Michelle!

Welcome to planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you want to extend the magic a few more days.  Doing so at a Disney Vacation Club Resort is the perfect way to do that, because wherever you wander and wherever you roam, Disney Vacation Club is always your home sweet home.

Michelle, if you are planning a Disney Vacation Club Resort vacation that is not at your Home Resort, you would need to wait until you reach the 7-month mark from your desired check-in date to book it with your Disney Vacation Club Points. You can log into your Disney Vacation Club dashboard to book this additional stay, and you can hold two reservations at once.  Once you have it booked, you can call Disney Vacation Club to let them know these reservations are linked. When you check out of the first Resort, you can drop your luggage with Bell Services for it to be transferred to your new Resort. You can then go about your Disney day and come back to your new Resort (or should I say "home sweet home.")

If your additional stay will be at the same Resort as your first 7 days, you can make an additional booking for a few more days. Then, call Member Services to let them know these reservations are linked. Also, if the room is the same type and category for the second reservation as the first, you can ask at the Front Desk for them to keep you in the same room for both reservations. We did this when we visited in March. We had a one-bedroom Villa booked with Disney Vacation Club Points at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and a couple of nights booked with cash (which can be done by calling Member Services) at the same Resort. Because our room was the same type, in the same category at the same Resort, the Front Desk team made it so we didn't need to check out of the room, and the reservations were linked.

I hope this helps you, Michelle! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, soar back here to see us, and I'll be so happy to help you!

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
