Ahoy there, Cheryl! Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so glad you'll be setting sail on the
Disney Dream in just a few weeks! There's nothing like a quick getaway to the
Bahamas, am I right? Some might say that a 3-Night itinerary is "too short," but I think it's one of my favorites: a chance to eat at all three main dining rooms, a possible brunch at
Palo or
Remy, and plenty of time topside and at
Disney Castaway Cay...what more could you want?
Oh right, you asked about
Pirate Night...unfortunately, that is one thing that is not currently scheduled to appear during your itinerary, Cheryl. But look on the bright side, no Pirate Night means you don't have to give up a standard menu at either
Enchanted Garden,
Animator's Palate, or
Royal Palace! Ooh, I can taste the Black Truffle Pursiettes, Escargot, and Sea Bass with Risotto now...I hope you enjoy some of those dishes as well!
You'll have plenty of room in your suitcases to pack light and come home with souvenirs from the shops aboard the ship - or if you really want to try your hand at packing light, you could try to do the one-bag, carry-on-only challenge! Now that's a planDrew-approved way to travel!
It also means the questionable personal hygiene practiced - or rather, NOT practiced - by the Pirates of the Caribbean themselves won't become an issue! They're a lot of fun, but the handwash stations outside
Cabanas can only get them so far...Now, all this is to say that's the current state of the seas, but the winds and tides could always change, so I'd be sure to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app as soon as you board to confirm the schedule for your particular itinerary!
I hope that helps you plan for some smooth sailing without the threat of pirates thwarting your time in
Nassau or on Disney Castaway Cay, Cheryl! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others bubble to the surface, please sail my way again here at planDisney!
Now, bring me that horizon!
Andrew
