Hello, Shirley,
I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney. This is a great question. And I hope to be of some assistance in answering it. Some
theme park tickets purchased before the current
phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort may have included the now-retired Disney MaxPass service. The Disneyland Resort has made available options for converting the MaxPass entitlement of these tickets. The best thing to start with is to either send an
email message or call the
Tickets phone line to submit an inquiry. However, if you happen to begin using your unmodified tickets before contacting Disney, you can visit a Main Entrance Ticket Booth to discuss options. One possibility in such cases is to have the MaxPass portion of the theme park tickets refunded in the form of a Disney Gift Card.
Tony’s Tip: The successor to the MaxPass service has arrived and is at your service. The complimentary
Disney Genie is a set of tools to help guide you through “a whole new world” of fantasy and adventure through the Disneyland Resort. I also suggest purchasing the
Disney Genie+ service, which provides services similar to MaxPass (e.g. access to
Lightning Lane attraction entrances and
Disney PhotoPass) as well as even more magic than before. My recommendation is to enjoy lightning-fast access to attractions with Genie+ on the first or second day of your tickets. Then take it easy on your third day. Or, if you do choose to purchase Genie+ on that final day, maybe you could use that as an opportunity to collect PhotoPass photos to remember your vacation and listen to Audio Tales in the
Disneyland app.
I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort, Shirley. Here at planDisney, we’d be happy to hEAR from you again if you have any more questions.
See ya real soon!
~Tony
