I have a 4 day dining plan. Have reservations for (B) Hollywood & Vine; (B) Chef Mickey; (D) Crystal Palace; (D) Hoop Dee Doo, & (L) at TRex. Which should I use my credits on and which should I pay out of pocket? Hoop Dee Doo takes 2 credits

    Hi Kay,

Thank you for visiting us today at the Disney parks Moms Panel. I hope your vacation is coming up soon. It will be here before you know it!

We love the Dining Plans. So convenient! They let us prepay for our meals and not have to worry about budgets. Before I give you some suggestions, I should point out that Dining Plan entitlements are based on the number of nights of stay; not days.

Character meals and buffets have a fixed price and hence are good options to use a Dining Plan, however breakfasts are typically priced lower than lunch or dinner. Depending on the value of the food you order, a-la-carte restaurants may be what you want to pay out of pocket. We love Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue; however, the Dining Plan will give you Tier 1 seats only on the last show. For us, this is perfect, since we dine late, but you may want to pay for this one out of pocket for the earlier show.

One last tip: Be Our Guest Restaurant is an amazing experience, and for breakfast and lunch it operates as a Quick-Service venue. But wait, there's more! It also accepts advanced dining reservations. Happy planning!
