Hi there, Thomas!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for sailing by with your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! My family recently sailed with Captain Mickey onboard the Disney Dream and we had just the best time! I know you will too!
Disney Cruise Line recommends that Guests schedule
return flights for anytime AFTER 11:30AM on disembarkation day. This allows for any unforeseen delays and allows Guests plenty of time to disembark, retrieve their luggage and then make their way to Orlando International Airport which is approximately an hour drive away. And, the worst thing you can do after a relaxing vacation is stress about making an early flight!! (Unfrotunately, I've learned this lesson the hard way!) Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers to Orlando International Airport and currently a one-way transfer is $35/person ages three and up. If you choose to purchase ground transfers through Disney Cruise Line, make sure you add them to your reservation at least three days prior to your sail date.
Disembarking on that final morning is always a bittersweet time for me! It’s hard to come to the end of a fun adventure at sea, so make sure you
book your next Disney Cruise before disembarking for the last time! Stop by the Future Cruise desk and take advantage of the onboard booking specials and then you won’t be saying “goodbye”, but rather “See Ya Real Soon!” when you scan your Key To The World card that final morning!
Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea! If you have any additional questions as your planning continues, please come back by!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
