We are going on a 3 day cruise from Port Canaveral aboard the Disney Magic. Can you give me advise on the embarking and debarking process? Our check in time at the port is 1130. Can we access our room and luggage right away? Can we get lunch on the boat?

    Hi, Debra!

Your voyage is definitely something to look forward to, and Captain Mickey can't wait to see you and your shipmates onboard! An 11:30am embarkation schedule is a good time to check-in at the Port and to make your way onboard the Disney Magic early. Once you get your Key to The World Cards at the Check-In counters, you will make your way through the entrance and into the gangway to enter the ship. Sometimes, your stateroom will be ready early -- but there are times, when it might not. Most of the staterooms are usually ready right around 1pm. Just be sure to have a day bag with you - since you likely will enter the ship, take pictures & look around the atrium, & then head straight to lunch at Cabanas on Deck 9... in that order :-). If you'd like, you can always check if your stateroom is ready -- but your checked in luggage will likely follow later that afternoon.

Right after the all-you-care-to-eat buffet lunch, you can explore the ship. The Youth Clubs have Open Houses and you & your family are welcome to check it all out & chat with the youth counselors about various activities going on that day. You can also complete any child care registrations, as well as make any Palo dining reservations, if you haven't done so.

For disembarkation, you'll need to be packed on the last evening, & your check-in luggage will need to be ready for porter pickup outside your stateroom door by 11pm. You'll see those bags next at baggage claim in the morning. Leave a bag with you that evening for your change of clothes & morning essentials. You'll need to leave your room that morning with all your belongings and head to breakfast. Your Breakfast restaurant will be the same restaurant where you had dinner at, the night before. You'll either be eating at 6:45 (if you had early dining) or 8:00am (late seating). After a leisurely breakfast, you can make your way to the exits.

Hope this helps... I'm outta space!
