Welcome aboard, Denise!
Those long cruises are amazing and I would always opt for a long cruise to really get my vacation ON! My kids would absolutely adore it of course, since they have loads of fun at the Youth Clubs and would gladly move in there if they were allowed to.
The 14-night voyages allow for ultimate rest and relaxation -- plus all the entertainment and pampering that you can get onboard the Disney Cruise Line. There will be different entertainment planned for each evening from Broadway-style shows to Live Performances from guest performers. If you happen to be on a cruise that coincides with a Disney movie premier, they even celebrate that onboard.
Since you get more days at sea on the longer cruises, you can really fit in many onboard activities. It's really up to you if you want to repeat some activities -- or catch up on movies at the
Buena Vista Theater. You can simply lounge around too! The daily Personal Navigator will give you a list of activities for the following day. You can choose to download the App now, and re-activate it once you are onboard - tool at your fingertip! There are no charges for using the DCL App when you log into the ship's WiFi. During our longer cruise, we got to enjoy a lot of activities onboard - we enjoyed cooking demonstrations and even towel animal demos onboard. There was also a huge bingo pot being brewed onboard and everyone seemed to want to dip into a game or two throughout the voyage. There are activities to choose from, and there is something planned for various age groups. You can do a lot or do very little while on your vacation. Isn't that awesome?
I hope this information is helpful, Denise!
Have a great day,
~ Dolly
