31 day count down!! I know being a Disney credit card holder I am entilted to get discounts off on certain things or purchases. Does the card have to be present? If I have it attached to my magic band you will I still get the discount? Thank You!!

    Hi Kellie!

You are in the home-stretch now! I love that you have a countdown going. It's my favorite way to get excited for an upcoming vacation. Though to be honest, I don't usually need much help!

I am also a Disney Visa Cardholder and I love taking advantage of discounts and rewards whenever I can. If you plan to use your Disney Visa for discounts at Walt Disney World Resort, you will need to have it with you at the time of purchase even if you have the credit card stored on file at your Disney Resort hotel. This is due to the fact that there is no financial information stored on your MagicBand.

When you use a MagicBand to make a purchase, you are essentially charging it to your room. Therefore, a vendor would not be able to verify the type of credit card you are using or grant any discounts.

I always carry my Disney Visa in addition to my MagicBand so I can take advantage of dining and merchandise discounts and private Character Greetings. Check out the Disney Visa website for a list of all the vacation perks available to Disney Visa Cardholders.

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you plan, Kellie. Have a pixie-dusted vacation!
