Hi Melissa, welcome to planDisney!
April showers bring May magic at Walt Disney World Resort. Tickets with the
Park Hopper Option let you float like a butterfly from one park to another on the same day. Can you imagine experiencing
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in the morning and
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at night?!
Generally speaking, wholly unused theme park tickets can be reassigned in My Disney Experience to anyone on your
Family and Friends List. I understand you are specifically asking about reassigning one-day comp tickets with the Park Hopper Option. I was in a similar situation last month and had no trouble reassigning a one-day comp ticket to a friend that was not in my travel party. In fact, we weren't initially connected as
Family and Friends. To reassign the ticket to her, I first had to add her to my Family and Friends List. We happened to be in the same room at the time, so I pulled up my Linking Code in the
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom of the app's home page --> scroll down to "My Profile" --> scroll down to "Show My Linking Code"), which she scanned on her phone's camera. Once we were connected as Family and Friends, I navigated to the specific ticket I wanted to reassign (three small lines --> Tickets and Passes), clicked the "Reassign Ticket" button icon, selected my friend's name, and finished the job with the "Reassign" button. You can also reassign tickets online via the "Reassign Ticket" dropdown menu located to the right of eligible tickets in your
My Disney Experience account.
It's awfully kind of you to pay forward the magic that was given to you, Melissa. Please make sure the lucky recipients of your tickets know they must also make a
theme park reservation and have a
method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) to enter a theme park.
Plan magic; planDisney.
