    I have a 1-day complimentary Theme park ticket with Park Hopper option on my Disney Experience and have reservation for Feb 22, how can I add Disney Genie + to this ticket?

    Hi Carole! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

    It seems you are on the right track to having a magical day at the Walt Disney World Resort! Using your My Disney Experience account is the easiest way to manage all aspects of your day. Since you have already secured your Park Hopper ticket and have made a Park Reservation for the first park you plan on visiting, the rest of the planning should be simple. 

    To purchase Disney Genie+ before your arrival day, you will need to log on to your My Disney Experience App and locate Tickets and Passes. Once there, you can choose the “Change Ticket” option to add to the Disney Genie+ service. If for some reason you do not see this as an option, I would suggest calling the Existing Tickets line and a Cast Member will be happy to assist.

    You will also have the option to add on Disney Genie+ on the day of your visit. Disney has introduced this feature as a way to only add on the service on a per-day basis. I just came back from a 7-day trip with my family, and we used Disney Genie+ on four of our park days. We found this worked best for what our plan was for the day. To add on Genie+ this way, make sure to log on to your My Disney Experience App before 7 AM EST on the day of your visit and select “My Genie Day”. Once here, locate the purple bar that reads “Get Disney Genie+ for Today”. Then starting at 7 AM EST, you will be able to make your first selection prior to park opening. 

    Since you do have the Park Hopper option, you will be able to use Disney Genie+ at all the parks you plan to visit. Park hopping is allowed after 2 PM EST as long as you enter the first park you made a reservation for that day before visiting any other. One tip I want to share is if you plan on riding a popular attraction, make sure to prioritize this ride as your first selection. For attractions such as Slinky Dog Dash and Peter Pan’s Flight, it may be hard to select these later in the day.
