We are on the 5 day W. Caribbean trip March 29 on the Wonder. 5 y.o. girl and 9 y.o. boy. What are the age cut-offs for kids clubs? Concerned b/c my 9 year old boy is not into the "little kid" stuff. Is there any Star Wars themed stuff? Thx

    Ahoy, Mary!

I'm excited to hear you'll be sailing on the awesome Disney Wonder this March - what fun! Your kids are in for a magical vacation, with more to see and do than they can imagine.

Disney Cruise Line's Youth Clubs are amazing spaces, staffed with highly trained Youth Counselors that make sure every little cruiser is happy, entertained and engaged throughout their voyage. With games and activities scheduled each day, kids can't get enough of the clubs!

The age ranges for the clubs are as follows:

    Oceaneer Club/Lab- ages 3-12
Edge (Tween Club) - ages 11-14
    Vibe (Teen Club) - 14-17.

At ages five and nine, both of your kids would fall in the age range for the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. Activities in the clubs are recommended for certain age ranges, but participation is based on a child's interest level and maturity. Your son will be able to pick and choose which activities appeal to him, and he will certainly not have to participate in the activities he feels are too "little kid" for him. My daughter was ten on our last cruise, and found plenty of fun activities for her in the Club/Lab!

I encourage you to visit the club on your first afternoon aboard, during Open House hours. You can get an overview of all the awesome activities and adventures your kids will have access to during your sailing. Tell them to be prepared for tons of fun!

While there are no Star Wars-themed areas at this time, Disney Cruise Line just announced Star Wars Day At Sea on select cruises in 2016! If you have a little Star Wars fan, you might want to think about stopping by the Future Cruise Sales desk to book one of these extra-special sailings while onboard! You'll get special perks for re-booking on the ship!

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
