Could a day that is blocked out for reservation to certain parks open back up?

Greetings Heather, and welcome back to planDisney!

Your magical vacation will be here in just a few weeks. You will be able to take part in the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort. So many new experiences were created just for the festivities. You will not want to miss Harmonious, EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular. It combines pyrotechnics, giant video screens, and a new musical arrangement of your favorite Disney songs.

All Guests who visit a Disney Theme Park need a valid admission ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation. Since the phased reopening of Walt Disney World, each theme park has a limited capacity, for the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. This is a busy time of year this year due to the holiday weekend and Spring Break.

There is no guarantee that reservations will become open for a day that is booked up. I have a few suggestions that may help you enjoy those parks that are already booked. First, if your schedule and budget allow it, upgrade your park tickets with the Park Hopper Option. This will allow you to make a reservation for any theme park that has an opening on a day you are planning to visit and then hop over to the park you wanted to visit after 2:00 PM. Remember, park hopping is allowed if the park you are going to has availability.

Do not give up hope! Guest's plans change all the time. Some will change their park reservation for a particular day, and others may cancel their trips altogether.  I advise you to check often for possible openings. As soon as someone cancels a reservation, it is made available to be picked up. You can check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar in the My Disney Experience mobile app or online.

I hope this helps, even though it is not the magical answer you were wishing for. I hope everything works out in your plans.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
