The day we arrive, we don't have tickets for the parks, but would like to start enjoying the magic. Do you need park tickets watch the Electrical Water Pageant and/or ride the monorail to the Pageant? And how late does the monorail run?

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am right there with you in wanting to start enjoying all the magic of Walt Disney World Resort as soon as I can, even if I’m not planning to visit one of the theme parks on my day of arrival.

The Electrical Water Pageant - Magic Kingdom Park nighttime water parade is always a fun and entertaining scene. There are several recommended viewing locations outside of Magic Kingdom Park and so theme park admission would not be required. Look for “The Most Magical Viewing Places” on the Electrical Water Pageant site page.

The Resort Monorail, for me personally, feels like an attraction in and of itself. The Resort Monorail System standard schedule is to run until one hour after the latest park closing.

Matt, you don’t mention where you will be staying or what time you will be arriving, and so I would encourage you to check with your Resort Hotel Cast Members to confirm parade times and scheduling and transportation options to and from your resort hotel.

You can also checkout the online calendar for park hours and event showtimes.

Disney Springs is another favorite destination of ours for arrival day. I love the dining, shopping, and entertainment choices available and I love the overall vibe.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
