Welcome to planDisney, James. Celebrating your daughter's 5th birthday with her first visit to Walt Disney World sounds absolutely magical! I was five when my parents took my family to Magic Kingdom Park, and the memories of that trip are so still strong.
For a three-day visit to
Walt Disney World Resort with young ladies, I would start with
Magic Kingdom Park. The moment you see Cinderella Castle heading in on the Disney Monorail, you just know the day is going to be magical. Magic Kingdom is home to classic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Mad Tea Party, and "it's a small world." There are also thrill rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Your girls can meet Cinderella and her friends at Princess Fairytale Hall. They can ride Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid and meet Ariel at her Grotto. They can whirl around Fantasyland on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. For the ultimate princess experience,
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will treat your daughters like royalty and have them primped to stroll through the park with big smiles and parade waves. Although you can get dresses at the Boutique, my friend
Ashley recommends bringing your own, especially if your daughters have their hearts set on a particular princess.
Be Our Guest is a wonderful place to eat for Belle fans. The restaurant comes alive with changing scenery. Try the Grey Stuff. It's delicious!
Cinderella's Royal Table is one of my favorites. Being inside the castle, dining in such a regal space, and seeing Fantasyland through the stained glass windows is magical and memorable.
For the other days,
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park would top my list. In Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios, you get a sense of life in Andy's Room. Slinky Dog Dash is the best! It is a great ride whether your daughter is adventurous or new to thrill rides.
Rodeo Roundup BBQ is a great choice for kids of all ages. There is also Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, which uses new ride technology for some surprises the whole family will love.
Animal Kingdom is an animal lover's dream park. Kilimanjaro Safaris journeys through the savanna. I could watch the giraffes all day long. You can visit the Conservation Station at Rafiki's Planet Watch and see how the Cast Members care for the animals. If you love the tales of Simba, Festival of the Lion King is not to be missed. The songs, puppetry and pageantry will have you flipping like the show's acrobats.
Both your girls will have magical days for sure! With your youngest being two years old, make sure to ask about
Rider Switch for attractions you cannot all enjoy but you do not want to miss. Also, ask Cast Members about Celebration Pins!
Please come back to
planDisney with any questions!
Adventure is out there!
