My daughters will be 9 and 7 years old when we visit Disney World for a week in August. They won't be able to handle too many late nights. How would you rate "Fantasmic" vs. "IllumiNations"? We may only be able to go to one.

    Hi Shannon!
I feel like you have asked me to pick my favorite child! :)
Although both Fantasmic and Illuminations are amazing shows for different reasons, based on your daughters' ages, I would go with Fantasmic (if you can see only one). First, Fantasmic takes place at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which is a better park for youngsters in my opinion, so you can get in a full day of fun before the show. Second, Fantasmic involves tons of Disney characters woven throughout a cool story, whereas Illuminations is mostly lasers, music, and fireworks. Both usually take place at about the same time (9PM), so that is a tie. One other thing to keep in mind is that Illuminations is shown nightly, whereas Fantasmic is run a bit more sporadically. See if it is showing during your stay, and if it is, I would choose Fantasmic! I am happy to help you plan if you know your trip schedule. Just let me know! :)
