Our daughter's wedding is at the Grand Floridian at 5:00 PM Sept. 30, 2010!!! Will there be fireworks at the Magic Kingdom or Epcot that night? I know that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween special event occurs at MK but are there fireworks?

Congratulations Gayle!  I know how excited you must be for the upcoming wedding of your daughter. My own daughter had her wedding at Disney in 2003 and my guests are still talking about all the magic that took place.  And of course I remember how much fun I had since I left all the details to Disney and everything went as perfect as planned!

There will be fireworks during the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. These are held every night of this party at 9:30pm.  They take on a bit of a spooky theme but will still include their own kind of magic for the guests to enjoy.

Illuminations will also take place as it does nightly in EPCOT at 9:00pm.  This is a wonderful show and my favorite with the beautiful music.  My daughter chose this location for a second reception after the main reception. We bused the guests from the Yacht and Beach Club ballrooms to a location behind Italy and had the area in front of the Italy Pavilion called the Italy Isolo reserved for us. We served desserts and drinks and enjoyed the Illuminations show together.  For many of our guests they were so sure we had the fireworks just for them....I never told them that it was a nightly event!

I am sure the wedding will be a beautiful affair.  I will be in Disney at that time and will think of you and wish for magical happenings for the couple and the guests.  It will bring back my own special memories of our Disney celebration!
