Jessica from MD Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My daughters are 10 and 8 and wanted to know if they would be allowed to ride some of the rides together. For example, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, or Finding Nemo? What are the rules? I would be on the ride too, but not sitting next to them.

    Hi Jessica!

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am happy that you have found your way to us with an excellent question!

According to the General Walt Disney World Property Rules, children under age 7 must be accompanied by a Guest age 14 years or older to board an attraction, this means that your girls will be able to enjoy attractions together, bond as sisters and make magical memories that will last a lifetime.

My oldest daughter is 9-years-old and she absolutely loves Splash Mountain and other thrill rides like Space Mountain and Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. Did you know that photos and videos are taken at select attractions? This digital content and all photos captured by Disney PhotoPass photographers are available for Guests who purchase Memory Maker. We are currently planning another family visit with my 16-year-old sister and the girls are having a great time planning the funny things they will be doing for each attraction photo.

Jessica, one of my favorite things to do with my family is plan our FastPass+ selections. I hope you take advantage of this benefit included with theme park admission to start selecting your favorite attractions with your girls 30 days before your visit or up to 60 days in advance when you stay at a Disney Resort hotel.

Thank you for stopping by! Come back to visit us once again if you have more questions, we are delighted to help.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
