Greetings, Aileed, and welcome to planDisney! I love that you'll be celebrating your daughter's birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth. And what a big occasion, turning three years old!
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a fun experience for little ones, and a great addition to a birthday visit. Unfortunately, I have some news that may come as a Bibbidi Bobbidi Bummer. Your daughter must be at least three years old on the day of this experience and have a valid theme park ticket and reservation. Otherwise, there's a chance you could run into issues on what should be a day full of fun. Could you push your visit to the following weekend?
As a mom of two kids who visits the Disneyland Resort a lot, I have some other ideas to share that can turn this pumpkin into a carriage:
- Consider Character Dining. Both of my daughters love being visited by Disney Characters at the table as we enjoy a tasty meal. When my youngest turned three, we got reservations at Plaza Inn for Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park. She had a huge smile every time someone special stopped by.
- Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has a shop attached to it where you can purchase dresses, accessories, shoes, and other items without a salon appointment. It could be exciting to go there to choose a special dress or a wand!
- Grab a complimentary birthday button at the start of the day for your daughter to wear. Many retail locations and City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. have them – just ask a Cast Member. We've experienced Cast Members, Characters, and even other Guests wishing us a Happy Birthday after noticing the button.
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh features a birthday scene at the end. This would be a sweet way to let your daughter know the friends in the Hundred Acre Wood are celebrating with her!
- For one birthday, I gave my older daughter three large tokens – one to get a special treat, one to get a toy of her choice, and the last one to pick an activity inside the park. She absolutely loved this – I can tell it made her feel like a princess! You can check out the latest Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog to see a roundup of new sweet treats and tasty snacks.
- If you happen to see a PhotoPass photographer roaming various lands inside Disneyland, ask them if they're available for a photo excursion. If they are, you'll be able to spend around 10 minutes with them as they take you to a few great locations in the area to capture some amazing shots of the birthday girl! This is subject to availability.
