My daughter's to-be fiance' will be proposing at Disney in December. We have a 9:15 breakfast reservation at the Crystal Palace on 12/18/13 and he would like to do the proposal prior to breakfast when the park will be less crowded. Who should I contact?

    Hi Marjie,

Congratulations! I'm sure you're very excited! I can only imagine how hard it must be to keep the secret for another month.

I was just at Walt Disney World last week and I saw a guy propose to his girlfriend over dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. It was so cool to watch how everything went down!

(Unfortunately, my wife missed the whole thing because she had taken my son to the restroom!)

Speaking from personal experience, the cast members at Walt Disney World are super helpful when it comes to planning an engagement. My advice would be to contact the cast members in Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons group at: (407) 939-4438 for help in choosing the best spot to pop the question. Plus, they can help arrange other special surprises that will make the event even more special!

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

Wherever your soon to be son-in-law pops the question, encourage him and your daughter to remember that very spot so that they can pose for a picture there every time they return to Walt Disney World in the future. That'll be a really nice way to keep the memory alive of that special moment.

I hope that helps! Please feel free to write back if you should have any additional questions and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
