Hi there, Stephanie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Moana sunglasses? Your daughters sound like fashionistas, and I am here for it! Your girls have fantastic taste, and I share their love of Moana. Her adventurous spirit, empathy, and determination make her one of my very favorite Disney characters – and her soundtrack is the boat snack on top of the epic adventure!
As much as I would love to make your tiny adventurers’ dreams come true, I’m sorry to report that Moana is currently out voyaging and is not meeting Guests at Walt Disney World at this time. Maui has been keeping an eye on her in his shapeshifter form, and I know that when the line where the sky meets Cinderella Castle calls Moana back, he’ll make sure his friends at the
Disney Parks Blog have the news. I advise reading the Disney Parks Blog as you count down to your visit – not only will they share great news about characters and other new experiences, but they also share delicious news about the latest treats available all around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.
Stephanie, I have two very favorite places to have a Moana moment at Walt Disney World Resort. My very favorite is during the
Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular – I get chills every time I hear the music and see Moana projected on Cinderella Castle. And, if you look up in the sky, you might even see Maui’s hook in firework form. It’s magical! Also, at the very end of
Fantasmic!, my Mouseketeers spotted Moana on the riverboat filled with characters that’s part of the show’s finale. It’s such a fun moment, filled so many characters, including our favorite voyager.
Finally,
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a great place to get in the Moana spirit. The
Moana Mercantile gift shop sells some fantastic Moana merchandise, and my kids loved playing with their Moana dolls on the resort’s sandy beach (while Mama enjoyed a Dole Whip from
Pineapple Lanai). It would also be wonderful to join Lilo, Stitch, and their friends at
‘Ohana’s Best Friends Breakfast Featuring Lilo and Stitch. It’s a delicious breakfast, and you could get some magical photos of your girls in their Moana costumes with some Disney 'ohana!
I hope this helps you find some Moana pixie dust in your upcoming vacation, Stephanie! Please come back and see us as you count down the days, and I hope your family has an amazing
summer vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
