    My daughters ( 6 & 3) are not into Star Wars, although they love Darth Vader (go figure) and have only seen the original movie. Do you think they will still enjoy Galaxy’s Edge? We have reservations at oga's cantina and hoping to go on the rides?

    Hi, Suzann!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question.

    Unlike your daughters, I am a lifelong Star Wars fan, so I was beyond excited when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge began welcoming travelers at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  I have had the opportunity to journey to the planet Batuu, and this immersive new land is a dream come true for any Star Wars fan.  However, I truly believe that casual Star Wars fans, and even guests who have never seen a single Star Wars film, will still enjoy exploring Black Spire Outpost.

    The planet Batuu is a brand-new setting within the Star Wars universe that we have never previously been introduced to.  While there are many nods to familiar aspects of the Star Wars stories, this original setting invites guests to create their very own Star Wars adventures.  I think your girls could enjoy interacting with the inhabitants of Black Spire Outpost, visiting shops like the Creature Stall, and sampling some of the local cuisine, such as blue milk.  I'm glad to hear you were able to make a reservation for Oga's Cantina.  The lively atmosphere of this local watering hole is fun for the whole family.  

    If your daughters are fans of thrill rides, I think they would enjoy the attractions at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.  There is no denying the excitement of taking control of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.  When Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opens in December, it promises to be unlike anything we have ever experienced before, putting guests right in the middle of an epic battle with the First Order.  Please be aware that guests must be at least 38 inches tall to ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and at least 40 inches tall to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

    Since your daughters are Darth Vader fans, you may want to stop by Star Wars Launch Bay during your visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Although character appearances are always subject to change, guests can currently give in to the Dark Side of the Force and encounter Darth Vader at Star Wars Launch Bay.
