My daughter's name is also Kaylene! We have a couple character meals reserved, but I'm not sure what to expect. Will we actually be greeted by characters and be able to take pictures?

    Hi Heather,

You chose a beautiful name for your daughter ;) I've always loved having my unique name. It's not very often that I come across another Kaylene.

Character dining at Disney World is a wonderful way to enjoy a delicious meal and meet some of your favorite characters at the same time. This eliminates the long waits in line at the parks to meet them too, so it's great. Yes, the characters will all visit you at your table and will pause for photos with your family. They make rounds, so by the time you are done with your meal, you will have met all of the ones at each meal. Generally they are spaced out perfectly so that you can visit with one and then have some more bites of your meal before the next one comes to your table. If for some reason you finish first and have missed out on seeing one of them just let your server know. This has happened to us before based on where they were in their rotation when we sat down. The character interaction is always great at the restaurants and it really allows for some fun photos.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation! Please let me know if I can assist you further,
