Hey there! Hi there, Landon. I am so happy to see you at planDisney, where you are as welcome as can be. I am glad you came by with this question. I have recently done this with my teens' accounts and welcome sharing what I learned. It is really easy if you know where to look.
Open your
Family & Friends list, scroll to find your daughter's
MyDisney profile, and select "Settings." This should reveal a box with her name and birthdate and an option to share planning with her. Select the "Share Planning" link and enter her e-mail address. She will receive an email to accept the invitation. She just needs to follow the link and the steps to create a password and finish setting up her account. Once this is done, everything like her
Annual Pass and
MagicBand+ will
automagically transfer to the MyDisney account she will now manage.
You can also do this on the
My Disney Experience app by opening the main menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen) and going to your Family & Friends list under "My Profile." Select her profile and use the "Send Email" link to add her email address and start the process.
Managing her own account, she can create a
Disney MagicMobile pass to easily access her Annual Pass for theme park entry and discounts on select dining and purchases. She will still be connected to you as Family & Friends to plan and share
Lightning Lane passes,
Virtual Queues and
Disney PhotoPass pictures. Since she is 14, she cannot make purchases on the app for four years. She won't be able to buy a Lightning Lane pass, but she should be able to select and modify Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences.
I hope your family remained safe during Hurricane Milton. Like you, I am packing my bags and watching the weather for an upcoming trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You can check
Disney's weather updates for news on impacts to any theme park or resort openings.
If you have any other questions, Landon, you know you have a friend in
planDisney.
Adventure is Out There!
