My daughter's having her 13th birthday while on our cruise. I've read that if people haven't pre-ordered a birthday cake, the servers are still able to provide a cake. Do you know if it would be personalized?; is it only a 1 person size? Any other details?

    Hi Holly!

I'm so excited to hear that you're celebrating your daughter's birthday on a Disney cruise!  My daughter is 14 so I know how important this birthday is going to be to your TEENAGER!!!!  She's going to have a wonderful trip, and her thirteenth birthday is guaranteed to be very memorable.

I called Disney Cruise Line to check on this, and I was told that the cruise line was trying something different.  In an effort to make a celebration a more personal event, the servers are now asking Guests what their likes and dislikes are for flavors, desserts, etc.  Then they use that information to create an individual,  special dessert with this Guest in mind.  For example, I'm sure that if they were asking me I would get a banana split with some kind of adorable Disney twist to it.

I hope this helps with your planning.  Please let me know if I can answer anything else for you.  Bon voyage Holly!
