Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Hibiscus! I’m excited to hEAR about your upcoming trip and your daughter’s first visit. While you won’t find many perks just because it’s your first visit, there is a bunch of magic that you can encounter if you know where to look!
When you are checking into your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, ask the Cast Member at the front desk for a First Visit button. Write your name in sharpie on there and lay a piece of scotch tape over it to prevent smearing. It’s a fun way to get greetings from guests and Cast Members all vacation long. You can also take your daughter to the dress shop called
Castle Couture behind Cinderella Castle next to Prince Charming Carousel. If you speak with a Fairy Godmother in Training, you’ll be able to make a wish and be dusted with complimentary pixie dust that will linger in your hair for the rest of the day. It’s wonderful! I’ve been known to make my own autograph book from computer paper and an old book cover, but also to bring a white T-shirt and let the characters sign in fabric marker. It’s a great way to keep the magic in your own wardrobe for the rest of the season.
If we can answer any other questions you have please let us know. We’re hEAR to make more magic than Genie! ~ Lindsey P.
