We have daughters, 13 and 9. As far as character dining, I am wanting to do Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus. Do you recommend both of the Princess character meals or are they too similar? This is our first trip to Disney World

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicole!

I am so excited to hEAR about the plans for your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Character dining is always a must-do activity for my family, and you have selected some of our favorite restaurants.

Chef Mickey’s is a classic! This popular dining destination is located inside iconic Disney’s Contemporary Resort and offers Guests the opportunity to dine with the Fab Five: Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy, Donald Duck and Pluto. I recommend making early morning reservations for breakfast on a day you are planning to visit Magic Kingdom Park. The restaurant is a quick 5-minute walk from park entrance, and I really cannot think of a better way to start your day at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I must also add that my 8-year-old daughter loves the food at Chef Mickey’s! The breakfast buffet is delicious and will appeal to the appetites of your girls.

If your daughters like the Disney Princesses I would definitely make reservations at both Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. We have had different and amazing experiences at each restaurant. Cinderella’s Royal Table offers the experience of a lifetime! Having Cinderella as your host and dining inside her castle at Magic Kingdom Park is absolutely magical! We love having dinner here and afterwards saving a spot near Cinderella Castle to watch Happily Ever After fireworks. Belle is happy to greet Guests at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. This restaurant offers a delicious breakfast with American favorites, and Norwegian-inspired dishes for lunch and dinner. We enjoy having breakfast here and starting our day early at Epcot riding Frozen Ever After and greeting Anna and Elsa. In case you are unable to dine at both, then I must recommend Cinderella’s Royal Table since this is going to be your first visit. You will make memories that you will cherish forever.

Moms Panel tip: don’t forget to purchase Memory Maker to enjoy unlimited downloads of all digital content captured by Disney PhotoPass photographers during your visit, including photos taken at Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Thank you for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicole! We hope you stop by once again real soon.
