Hi. My daughters and I are going to Disney in January. I have been using walking sticks for the past few months to help with my mobility. Would I be able to use my walking sticks at the Disney World parks?

Hey Howdy Hey Rochelle and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about walking sticks for your upcoming trip. One thing is for sure with any trip to Walt Disney World Resort and that is plenty of walking will be involved, so planning is key. I am happy to report that you are allowed to bring your walking sticks to the parks if you need them to help with mobility. I also wanted you to be aware of other options for mobility in the parks if you may need them.

Depending on how you plan to tour the parks on your upcoming trip, it is not out of the ordinary to expect to walk 5-10 miles in a day during your park visits. If you are visiting the parks on consecutive days, this can add up to a lot of walking! Not to worry though, Disney has got you covered. If you should need them, Disney has the availability to rent wheelchairs and Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) during your time in the parks. If you think you may benefit from them, rental locations are available towards the front of all 4 theme parks. Supplies are limited and resources are distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis, so make sure to get there early if you think you may need one!

Best of luck as you are approaching your final weeks of preparation before your Magical vacation! If you have any further questions, please feel free to stop back and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
