My daughters (6 and 2) are celebrating birthdays in the month that follows our trip to WDW.(kind of a present)However this is the only time I could get time off from work. When I am asked if I am celebrating something, should I be letting them know this?

    Hello Shawn,

Your daughters are two very lucky Princesses. Sounds like they are in for a very royal birthday gift!

There are no written rules about celebrations at Disney World. I mean, it is after all the most magical place on earth! In my opinion, let's face it, many of us simply cannot travel to Florida exactly on our children's birthdays or afford to go to Disney on their big days.

Since your family has chosen to forgo presents and travel to Disney, I say absolutely, when a Cast Member asks if your family is celebrating anything special, be honest with them. Tell them that you are there to celebrate two very special birthdays. You never know what Pixie Dust they may be able to sprinkle.

Enjoy your trip. And happy birthday to your girls!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
